facial treatments at la mirage health & beauty clinic What is cellulite?
Cellulite is deposits of fat and other material trapped in pockets of connective tissue beneath the skin. It causes progressive dimpling, also called “orange peel” or “cottage cheese” appearance of the skin. About 90 % of women are affected by it, after they reach puberty.

Why are women prone to develop cellulite?
Women’s skin is built differently than men’s to help them to store fat during pregnancy and breast feeding and also to allow the skin to expand during these times. When estrogen levels fluctuate in the body, the skin will retain fluid, connective tissue in the skin hardens, blood, and lymphatic circulation is decreased, and fat cell storage is favored, causing the development of cellulite.

What is Endermologie?
Endermologie is the only clinically proven treatment for cellulite and loose sagging skin. It uses a combination of aspiration and roller deep tissue massage to break down the cellulite to a more fluid form and drainage to leave the body toned and dimple free.

At each treatment you must wear a protective body stocking which is supplied.

Endermologie is recommended by cosmetic surgeons pre and post liposuction.

Lipomassage by Endermologie is the latest generation of Endermologie treatments dedicated to localized fat, cellulite and contours. With major technological and protocols innovations, LIPOMASSAGE is able to produce faster and more targeted results.

The Keymodule’s small hand-held, motorised treatment head with specially designed rollers performs the Endermologie treatment. By gently lifting and rolling the skin the Cellu M6 Keymodule stimulates the venous and lymphatic systems thereby eliminating toxins. Fiboblasts are stimulated to the increase collagen and elastin production generating a healthier rejuventated skin tone.

The treatment also smoothes the surface of the skin by softening the connective tissue, that anchors the skin, causing the dimples of cellulite.

Does Endermologie really work?
Yes. Clinical studies from UCLA, Vanderbilt University, and many European Universities have proven results of the Endermologie machine.

Who is performing the treatment?
All treatments are performed by a qualified Endermologie Therapist.

How long does a session last? Do you just work on my problem areas?
A session lasts for 35 minutes. The main focus of the treatment is directed to the problem areas, but the entire body must be treated in order to stimulate general circulation and elimination of broken up toxic matters.

How many sessions do I need to start seeing results?
Results vary for every person, however an average person starts to notice the changes after about 6-8 sessions.

endermologie treatments at la mirage health & beauty clinic How many treatments should I consider to begin with?
A series of 15 sessions would be a good start to achieve results. The first 6 treatments are suggested within a 2 week time period, than the rest of the treatments should be received twice a week until desired look is achieved. After the desired look is achieved, a once a month maintenance is sufficient for most individuals.

How long should I continue my treatments?
We suggest that you approach cellulite treatment as a lifestyle change. Just as we go to have our hair cut on an ongoing basis, we need our cellulite treated regularly as well. If we don’t address the problem in such manner, cellulite will come back.

Does the procedure hurt?
Rest assured that you are in the best possible hands. With your highly trained therapist, and the machine’s capability of changing intensity, you won’t need to be in pain. It is a non-invasive, relaxing treatment that involves no medical procedures or use of any chemical substances, creams or gels.

Can everyone receive the treatment?
No. It is not for pregnant women, or people taking blood thinners, people with circulatory or vascular disease, active cancer, and also with infectious progressive diseases, and AIDS. Should you have any other concerns, we recommend that you consult your physician.

Does the treatment have any side effects?
The only negative side effect possible is minor bruising for individuals with very sensitive skin. However there are numerous positive side effects, such as relieving muscle soreness, fading of stretch marks and scar tissue, feeling rejuvenated, and relaxed.
